Games online - the evolution


Now we see thousands of people playing games such as tetris, ping pong, mario bros, super mario etc free but despite its history dating back to the 1970s, for most people online gaming began with the explosion of the Internet in 1993 and with the arrival of Doom and Warcraft in 1994 or 1995. This gained new momentum with publishers are beginning to add connectivity to the Internet for computer games in 1994-95.

The media, indeed, have been ignorant about the history of online games. As worry, online gaming only coincidentally occurred when its advertisers began to produce games that are compatible with the Internet. But it is not the case...

Early years of development

1980S - some pause before the storm

1980 saw the growing madness of the madness of video and computer game, but online gaming was not yet on the horizon. New games with better sound and graphics were introduced and gained popularity. Pole Position and Pac-man were two who achieved great popularity. It was during the early 1980s when Nintendo introduced their first gaming system.

The 90 - revolution begins

1990 Saw phenomenal growth in popularity and technology primarily due to the rise of 3D and multimedia.

Concluding the 1990s saw exponential growth of the Internet, MUDs (multi-user dungeons) which became tremendously popular online games.
